What are you doing to reduce your carbon footprint?

What are you doing to reduce your carbon footprint?

With energy prices increasing sharply, we are keen to know what members have done to reduce their bills and energy usage. Obviously at the same time as reducing energy usage, you are also reducing your carbon footprint and moving towards being a sustainable retailer. This is also important because research is still suggesting that despite the economic pressures, customers want to see businesses being more environmentally friendly.

We know that many of our members have been looking at ways of reducing energy and carbon for some time. Some have found it easier than others. That is why we are keen for you to tell us about the steps you have taken and the improvements you have made. We want to share your stories with your fellow members, because invariably retailers learn more from other retailers.

All the indicators are that energy costs are set to remain high and in reality the best way of reducing costs is to reduce usage, which has the added benefit of being more sustainable in the longer term.
