Tis the season for pre-seasoned woks

Dexam extend award-nominated School of Wok range

Dexam’s School of Wok pre-seasoned wok was a finalist in both the ‘Excellence in Cookware’ and ‘The Innovation Award’ at the 2022 Excellence in Housewares Awards. Following on from this and demand from retailers and consumers, they have introduced two new sizes to the range. Perfect for Christmas presents and Chinese New Year.

A smaller 10.5” wok and a large 14” wok have been added to the pre-seasoned range which includes a 12” and 13” round bottom wok. All are suitable for modern hobs, including induction. There is no need to season at home, the hard part is done for you so you can get straight to cooking delicious meals. The pre-seasoning gives the benefits of non-stick without having a non-stick layer that can scratch and wear out.

Each wok in the range comes with a comfortable bamboo handle which doesn't transfer heat, and is the perfect size to create meals for the family. The 10.5” can feed 1-2 people, the 12” serves 2-3 people, the 13” allows for 3-4 people and the 14” can cook for up to 4-6 people. The carbon steel construction helps to unlock delicious flavours that Asian stir-fry is famous for. The steel heats up quickly and allows for very high heat - giving your dishes a caramelised flavour. Also suitable for making curries, stews and deep frying.

The pre-seasoned woks sit nicely amongst the rest of the School of Wok by Dexam range that includes traditional round-bottom woks, flat-bottomed woks and a skinny wok for the health-conscious. The carbon steel woks come in a variety of sizes to feed small or large-sized families and have accessories such as wok lids and tiered bamboo steamers to complement the range for cooking all sorts of tasty dishes.
