On February 7 Bira CEO, Andrew Goodacre will meet with Ofgem to discuss energy price increases. 

The media have for some time focused on the cost of living increases, and the increase in energy prices have further increased the focus on this. Having already survived financial hardship triggered by the pandemic, businesses are now faced with another risk: sky-high energy prices. 

Since last October's budget Bira has been telling government ministers and officials that the cost of living is also rising and putting livelihoods at risk. On Monday 7th February we have a meeting with Ofgem to discuss energy price increases and we will be keen to restrict the increases to business customers, where no cap is in place.
