Bira CEO Andrew Goodacre met with Paul Sculley, Business Minister, last week. Andrew expressed concerns to the Minister regarding the rising costs of running a business and urged the government to do more to help businesses overcome these challenges.

Andrew said “the increasing costs of running a business are like a tsunami that will overwhelm many business owners. Energy is increasing by 150-200%, rates have increased by 100%, labour costs are up 10% due to NMW and NI. Some of this is beyond government control but more must be done to ease the burdens”
