Bira CEO comments on BRC forecasts of 2023

The BRC have shown an insight about retail trends in 2023 and have commented on the pressures that will face the retail sector. 

Bira's CEO, Andrew Goodacre's comment:

We would like to share some market insight we have received for the BRC. There are two reports – one focusing on retails sales in 2023, and one focusing on trends and future focus’ for retailers. I believe that the information is relevant to all businesses on high streets throughout the UK. We are expecting a difficult 2023 due to low consumer confidence and the costs of living crisis. However these reports suggest that it will be better in the second half of 2023 and that there are some actions retailers can take to improve their business both now in the future.
