From Tuesday (November 30), face coverings will be mandatory in all shops in England.

"Face coverings will be mandatory in all shops throughout the UK as from Tuesday. It is important to ensure you have signs up to remind customers, and also fully brief your staff. The same exemptions to customers will apply. It is important we are all responsible in doing our best to reduce the spread of this new variant, especially as we approach the festive period. Bira is in a meeting with the government department for business later today to discuss these latest rules" - Says Bira CEO, Andrew Goodacre.

With this in mind, Bira has created a poster to encourage customers to comply - and thank them for doing so.

While retailers are not responsible for enforcing the Government-imposed measure, the poster politely reminds shoppers to wear a mask when they're inside a store.

It also thanks the customer for shopping locally.
